Two Colour Settings
Burnt Russet brings warmth and depth to the darker bathroom spaces. Under concealed and reflected lighting, the glaze moves between red-brown, bronze and near-black tones, giving the tiled walls a layered appearance.
Vintage Green creates a quieter counterpoint in the adjoining shower setting. Its muted green-grey surface works with olive cabinetry, dark fittings and clear glass, while the repeated vertical format keeps the room precise and ordered.
Tile, Light and Reflection
The installation uses Kaji Border across broad wall planes, returns and framed openings. The narrow proportions make changes in direction legible, while the glaze responds differently to direct light, mirror reflections and the softer light filtered through shower glass.
This is particularly visible at corners and openings, where the tiled surface continues around the architecture rather than reading as a single decorative panel. The same format connects the two colour schemes without making the rooms feel identical.
