In this kitchen by Mowlem & Co, Kaji Border in Brick wraps a large central island, introducing a deep ceramic colour and fine vertical structure within a light, open interior.

A Ceramic Centrepiece
The island forms the centre of the room and is visible from the kitchen, dining area and garden. Kaji Border follows its long elevations and rounded corners, allowing the narrow module to emphasise the continuity of the volume.
The Brick glaze connects with the warm upholstery and autumnal planting while remaining distinct from the pale oak cabinetry and cool stone worktop.
Rhythm and Contrast
Repeated vertical joints give the island a clear architectural scale. Against the wider planes of timber, stone and polished concrete, the smaller ceramic module provides texture without adding a separate decorative motif.
