Choosing red wall tiles
Red is one of the most expressive colours a tile can carry. Terracotta and burnt orange tones feel warm and earthy, while oxide red, russet and claret read deeper and more dramatic, especially under a strong glaze.
Format changes the effect. Slim border and kit kat tiles create fine vertical rhythm on a shower wall or kitchen splashback. Hexagons and mosaics suit niches, curves and statement walls, and larger squares give a calmer surface.
Red glazes shift with daylight, warm lamps and the grout you choose. A darker joint keeps the surface rich and continuous; a lighter joint draws out each piece. Check each tile’s application information for wet areas, and order a sample before you specify.
