Batch Variation
Disclaimer
Each batch of Japanese tiles is unique. Subtle variations in tone, texture, and character are a natural result of the artisanal glazes, traditional kilns, and the forces of nature at work during firing.
Your production batch may vary slightly from the sample you received, particularly with mixed colour or shade sheets. These variations are a hallmark of true Japanese craftsmanship, reflecting the Wabi Sabi philosophy that values beauty in natural imperfection.
Our factories maintain rigorous quality control to balance the natural forces created during 24 hours in a kiln at 1300°C. Every tile is inspected by hand and eye to ensure exceptional quality, with only the finest pieces selected for packing. Each sheet is arranged by experienced craftsmen to achieve a harmonious balance of tones before being protected and boxed.
To preserve this quality, all shipments, even single box orders, are palletised to ensure your tiles arrive in perfect condition.
