At Sloane Street Deli in Belgravia, Arcaico Green wraps the deli and barista counters in a continuous ceramic surface. The narrow Japanese porcelain tile introduces a fine vertical rhythm while its softly varied glaze sits comfortably among timber, rattan, marble and aged mirror.

A Counter as Architecture
The tile is used across the principal service counters, turning functional joinery into a defining architectural element. Its elongated format establishes a measured vertical cadence across the long deli counter and continues around the smaller barista station.
Rounded corners allow the tiled surface to turn without an abrupt break. The compact module follows the curved geometry while maintaining the clarity of the joint pattern.
Green Within a Warm Palette
Arcaico Green provides a quiet point of colour within a palette of cream, terracotta and dark timber. The glaze varies subtly from piece to piece, giving the counters depth without competing with the room’s retained mouldings, marble surfaces and antiqued mirrors.
Rattan, bentwood and leather introduce softer textures around the ceramic. Together, these materials give the interior a familiar, lived-in character while the precision of the tiled counters keeps the composition ordered.
Light and Surface
Large street-facing windows bring daylight across the glaze, making small tonal shifts visible along the counter fronts. In lower light, the colour becomes deeper and the repeated vertical structure comes forward.
The result is a durable hospitality surface that also contributes to the atmosphere of the room: practical, tactile and closely integrated with the architecture.
