Studio Johnston Shower - Mittsu - Japanese Tiles
Project

Studio Johnston Shower

In this residential shower, Studio Johnston uses Yuki Border Terracotta for its distinctly hand-built Japanese character. The deep fired colour has a rich tonal range, giving the wall a material presence that feels both precise and elemental.

Dark joints articulate the slim tile format, while small variations in glaze allow individual pieces to catch the light differently across the installation.
