Ceramic and Stone

The bathroom is organised around the relationship between two very different surfaces. Yohen introduces a closely spaced vertical rhythm across the upper and side walls. The stone is used in larger panels, where broad veining and areas of translucency remain uninterrupted.

Neither material imitates the other. Their contrast makes the qualities of each clearer: the repeat and fine relief of the ceramic against the singular pattern and depth of the stone.

Light Across the Surface

Concealed lighting reveals the stone from within and creates softer reflected light across the white glaze. Small changes in the Yohen surface become visible without competing with the stronger movement of the stone.

The same palette continues through the bath, WC and shower areas, allowing each part of the room to feel connected while the material junctions define their different functions.

A Restrained Framework

The project uses Yohen as an architectural framework rather than an isolated feature. Its narrow format gives the walls scale and order; the quieter colour allows natural stone, timber and metal to retain their own presence.
